Meeting with Religious Minorities

PEAD Foundation has initiated an advocacy campaign  to assist the ongoing education sector reform process of the provincial government of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .The organization is holding consultative meetings, dialogues, seminars and forums  with all relevant stake holders in the process including government officials, academicians, text book writers,  minorities and civil society members etc.  to get their  inputs, suggestions and feedback  on the issue..
The organization recently organized a round table with various religious leaders and representatives of minorities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. C. The event was held at a local hotel  in Peshawar on June 15th, 2012  All the participants  shared their concerns & suggestions and  stressed that policy makers, curriculum boards/committees should include minority representatives for their inputs and perspectives on curriculum reforms.. They also shared that KP has no curriculum on ‘Ethics” & currently curriculum of Sindh is being taught in schools in KP. They shared that too is not a comprehensive one and therefore there is a need to work on Ethics curriculum.
